Motor Solution is more than just an auto repair and sales business—it’s a testament to hard work, perseverance, and a lifelong passion for cars. At the heart of the company is Vladimir Silchuk, a dedicated business owner whose journey began far from Sioux Falls, SD.

Originally from the former Soviet Union (now Ukraine), Vladimir grew up with a deep appreciation for automobiles. Even in a time when resources were scarce, his fascination with cars never wavered. However, life in the USSR was full of challenges, and like many seeking a better future, Vladimir and his wife made the life-changing decision to immigrate to the United States in 1989 with their two young children. They arrived with little more than hope and determination, ready to build a new life from the ground up.

Their journey started in Brookings, SD, before they settled in Sioux Falls a year later. To support his family, Vladimir took a job at John Morrell, a local meat-packing plant. The work was demanding, but he never lost sight of his true passion—cars. In his free time, he visited a local salvage yard, buying old vehicles, restoring them, and selling them to make extra income. What began as a side project quickly became an obsession, and over the years, Vladimir became known for his skill and dedication to the craft.

After 14 years of balancing factory work with his growing automotive business, Vladimir knew it was time to take a leap of faith. In 2003, he left his stable job to pursue his dream full-time, and Motor Solution was born. With nothing but his expertise, work ethic, and the support of his family, Vladimir built the business from the ground up, offering quality auto repairs and reliable used car sales to the Sioux Falls community.

What started as a one-man operation soon grew into a family business. Today, Vladimir’s son, Vitaly, works alongside him as his partner, carrying on the legacy of integrity, craftsmanship, and customer care that has defined Motor Solution for over two decades. Together, they have built a trusted name in the industry, known for honesty, high-quality service, and a commitment to their customers.
