Originally from the former Soviet Union (now Ukraine), Vladimir emigrated to the United States in 1989 with his wife and two young children, escaping the hardships of communism in search of a better life. The family’s journey began in Brookings, SD, before settling in Sioux Falls a year later, where Vladimir worked at John Morrell, a meat-packing plant.
Despite the demands of his job, his love for cars—ignited back in the USSR—never faded. In his spare time, he frequented a local salvage yard, buying, restoring, and selling vehicles. After 14 years of balancing his job with his automotive passion, Vladimir made the bold decision to leave the plant and pursue his dream of owning an automotive business. That’s when 2003 Motor Solution was born.
Today, Motor Solution is not just a business, but a family affair. Vladimir’s son, Vitaly, now works alongside him as his partner, continuing the tradition of excellence and customer care that has defined the shop from day one. Together, they’ve built a trusted name for quality auto repairs and used car sales, all grounded in hard work, integrity, and a deep sense of community.
